The Crash

All I need are my 2 little Bees.  My minions, my monsters.  I’ve always been one who works quite well alone.  Maybe too well.  So, my children come along and I really only need them.  I’m generally very happy.  Even while they are far away, I kinda just keep going and…make it.

The worst part is just after a visit, when they go back to Arizona or when I leave back for Boston…  the days afterwards are just dismal.

I feel angry, and empty and sad, and .. alone.

And I hate it.

Damn kids these days.

Holiday Blues?

Stressed to hell, missing my minions, emotions running amok… damnit.  It’ll be 6 months between visits, the next time I see them.  It just may be breaking me down…

Been a wreck for most of the week.  I’ve cried almost every day, at one point or another.  This is not normal for me, but there are so many factors thrown in.  I do have a select few people to talk to, and my sister generally is sensible and helps me to feel better, but now it is late, and here I am.  On tumblr.  Where most of my deeper ramblings end up.  Interesting.

I sort of have a problem…

…when my 5 year old child tells me that she dislikes her curly hair, and wishes it were straight.  Yes, she is of interracial heritage, and yes, I do sometimes suspect that she may be affected by society’s definition of what is accepted as ‘pretty’ - or flat out racism.  Or maybe she really is just a girly girl and likes to have her hair straightened out.  Maybe I induced this myself by styling her hair, and dressing her up, you know… girl time.
