Was Gonna

He was gonna to visit you when you were sick

He was gonna take you to that movie

He was gonna spend the afternoon with you

He was gonna bring you flowers 

He was gonna be your friend when you needed one

He was gonna take the time to be with you

He was gonna go out on the town with you

He was gonna have a life with you

But no one cares what he was gonna do

Because all that really matters is what he did.

And when you stack up the Was Gonna against the What Did

You’ll find that Was Gonna doesn’t count for shit.
